1. Business Context

As part of a strategic initiative, we are seeking a GCP Security Engineering and Integration Specialist to provide dedicated security guidance, security-by-design, proactive security support and risk oversight throughout the business application migration lifecycle to Google Cloud Platform.

The role will ensure that security requirements, architecture standards, project security

plan, and GCP security best practices are consistently integrated into migration activities, enabling secure adoption of Google Cloud Platform while reducing operational and cyber risk.

2. Mission Scope / Requirements

Play a key role in supporting a cloud build/migration initiative by acting as the primary

technical security specialist for infrastructure and application teams throughout

assessment, design, migration, and deployment phases on Google Cloud Platform.

Key Objectives:

• Support the implementation and hardening of security controls within GCP LZ.

• Perform security design reviews and technical assessments for LZ capabilities and

cloud onboarding activities.

• Act as the security focal point for assigned application and infrastructure

build/migration projects.

• Review and validate cloud architecture, configurations, security project plan, and

migration plan against enterprise security standards.

• Collaborate with cloud engineering, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity

teams to ensure secure integration patterns.

• Contribute to the development of reusable cloud security patterns, standards, and

best practices.

3. Expected Outcomes / Deliverables

• Security technical advisory support delivered for infra/apps build & migrate to GCP.

• Security assessments and risk evaluations completed for LZ and migrated

applications.

• Validated secure GCP cloud architecture and migration design reviews.

• Documented remediation security project plan, recommendations and risk

mitigation plans.

• Established reusable GCP cloud security design patterns and implementation

guidance.

• Support documentation for governance, compliance, and audit requirements.

4. Technical Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as Cloud Security Specialist

• Strong experience supporting large-scale GCP cloud migration initiatives in

enterprise environments

• Experience with GCP cloud security architecture

• Experience conducting security architecture reviews and threat/risk assessments

for GCP workloads

• Knowledge of security frameworks and industry standards

• Strong experience working across multiple cybersecurity domains including:

o GCP Cloud Security

o Network Security

o Identity & Access Management (IAM)

o Data Protection

• Proven experience working with large and complex global environments

5. Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity architecture principles and secure-by-design

approaches

• Robust stakeholder management and communication skills

• Proven experience working in large, complex, GCP, and hybrid enterprise

environments
